Stayed here for a week. Was a cool place! Volleyball court, pool, clean bathrooms and showers, and the beds were comfy as. The staff is super friendly and the chef makes some good food. Andrea in particular was an absolute sweetie and always hooked me up with some clean towels and great banter 🙂
Would definitely recommend booking a few nights or more!.

Very cool hostel! I stayed in a 4-bed dorm with an ensuite, and it was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The facilities are excellent, particularly the restaurant, pool, and volleyball court.
What really made my stay special, though, was the staff—specifically the events organizer, Beth, and the volunteers, Teo and Lanie. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time, offering excellent recommendations on where to visit and the best spots to eat and drink.

Highly recommended hostel in Siargao. A very social hostel with lots of fun activities. It has spacious clean rooms and has good amenities. Very kind and friendly staff, especially Beth, Lanie & Teo whom I get to hanged out with.

rucksack should be a hostel standard. i'm no engineer, but i felt like it was designed perfectly for the visuals and for efficiency. there were lots of bathroom and restroom cubicles, and lots of faucets with mirrors! it wasn't cramped, and being 6'0 felt like a breeze in the spaces.

the hostel activities? a great way to have fun and make friends, and it's soooo good to have Beth host them. she's very lovely and welcoming and beautiful (legit, ang ganda!), the Moana of Siargao!

the staff are very kind and approachable. plus points because there's always someone at the reception, so it feels extra secure.

The hotel is very accesible to public transportations and attractions. There many Hawkers and restaurant near the area too. The receptionist is very nice and friendly too.

👉The hotel has a cute exterior and is thoughtfully decorated.

👉The rooms provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, and disposable slippers.

👉Breakfast is provided, which is very thoughtful. The surrounding environment is also clean.

👉The staff are all very responsible, friendly, and helpful.

👉The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the Dutch Square, Jonker Street, and other popular tourist attractions!

In summary: A hotel with a very high cost-performance ratio 👍

I so love how the place is and how they take care of the guests and Ive decided to stay long 6months or more with the help of miss beth that organizes the events she convinced me its the safest and nicest place to be in siargao. And other staffs thats been taking care od me well from housekeeping Sarah, rose,andre, Cj, to the receptionists alrose, joy, trisha and gelo Rucksack will definitely be my home ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had an amazing stay at Ruck Sack Hostel in Siargao. The service was excellent, the facilities were clean, and the staff were all very welcoming.

Special thanks to Beth, who is very friendly and did a great job organizing hostel activities, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I really loved my stay at Rucksack Siargao. Went there for 2 days and was welcomed with warmth by its people. I haven't thanked much to Edjie coz I had to check out so early and I wasn't able to meet him at his shift. Couldn't find a way to message him but I hope this works Bro. I would definitely go back. Sending hugs to you and the housekeeping team. You guys are the best! I had fun.

Room-wise, beds were so clean and comfortable to rest in. Highly recommended!✨

I stayed at this hostel for a longer time last year and decided to come back again this year. The rooms are great. There is also a pool and a restaurant, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

Above all, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A special shout-out goes to Edjie, who was already here last year. Whether it’s questions, tips, or just a nice conversation – you always feel welcome.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Rucksack Inn Singapore and Rucksack Inn Siargao: 3 pm check-in, 10 am check-out

Can I book without a credit card?

Sorry, folks! We require a credit or debit card to guarantee your booking. But don’t worry, we accept Visa and Mastercard – the dynamic duo of credit cards!

How can I pay at the property?

We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards and bank transfers at all properties and have local digital payment options available.
Gcash is accepted at Siargao, TouchNGo at Melaka and PayNow at Singapore.

How do I cancel my booking?

Oh no, we’re sad to see you go! But if you must cancel and you booked directly with us, please check the cancellation policy on our website first and then contact the respective hostel for assistance. We’ll try to make it as painless as possible, promise!
For bookings made through 3rd party booking providers (ie Hostelworld, Booking.com etc), please check their cancellation policies and approach them directly.

How do I amend my booking?

How can I do a group booking?

Can I be sure all my friends will be put into the same dorm?

We’ll do our best to keep your squad together! Just contact the hostel you’ve booked at before arrival, and we’ll make it happen!

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we require a deposit at each property. The deposit amount varies by property, as follows:

Rucksack Inn Singapore: 50 SGD (cash or credit card)
Rucksack Inn Siargao: 1000 Pesos (cash or credit card)
Rucksack Inn Premium Melaka: 100 RM (cash only)

The deposit is payable upon check-in and will be refunded upon check-out, provided that all terms and conditions are met and there are no damages or outstanding payments.

Can I arrive in the middle of the night?

Night owls welcome! If you’re arriving between 10 pm and 7 am, please let us know in advance so we can make sure someone is awake to greet you!

Can I gain entry to the hostel at night?

Our hostels are open 24/7, so you can come and go as you please! Just remember to keep the noise down after 10 pm – we have sleepy travellers to consider!

What are the reception hours?

Our reception hours vary by property:

Rucksack Inn Singapore and Rucksack Inn Siargao: 24/7 – You can check-in anytime and our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
Rucksack Inn Premium Melaka: 8 am – 10 pm – Our friendly staff are available to assist you within these hours.

Do you offer luggage storage facilities?

Yes, we offer luggage storage facilities in Siargao. For our Singapore and Melaka outlets, we don’t have a dedicated storage room, but our friendly front office team will be happy to help you store your luggage temporarily. Please note that we’ll do our best to keep it safe, but we won’t be liable for any loss or damage.

Do you have Wi-Fi access available?

Absolutely! Our Wi-Fi is fast and free, so you can stay connected.
For Siargao we went the extra mile as Wi-Fi can be unstable. We are using Globe Telco Direct internet and have installed access points in all rooms to ensure there is not one dead spot on the property.

Can you assist with booking tours or transportation?

Our friendly front office team is happy to help book tours, transportation, or anything else you need to make your trip amazing!

Are there laundry facilities on-site?

Our Singapore properties have laundry facilities available for a small fee. Melaka and Siargao do not have laundry services.

Is there air conditioning in the rooms?

All our rooms and dorms have air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable during sleeping hours. No sweating or freezing here!

Are pets allowed in the hostel?

Sorry, furry friends! While we love animals, our hostels are pet-free zones to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.

Are there hair dryers and ironing boards available?

Yes, we’ve got hair dryers and ironing boards available to borrow at the reception at all properties. Please check with our reception staff for availability. Because looking good is important, even when you’re backpacking!

What are the pool hours?

Our pool hours are from 7am to 10pm, available only in our Melaka and Siargao properties. The pool in Siargao is closed every Tuesday for maintenance.

Are towels provided?

Yes, we provide towels in Melaka and Siargao; In Singapore, towels are available for rent or purchase.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

In Siargao, you can indulge in a delicious breakfast at our café/restaurant, with options available for purchase to suit your taste and preferences. In Singapore and Melaka our properties are strategically located and have many breakfast options (Western and Asian style) available in walking distance.

Do you have a kitchen or cooking facilities available for guests?

No, we don’t have guest kitchens. But don’t worry, there are convenience stores and food centres near each property serving yummy local food at wallet-friendly prices!

Can I consume food and drinks in the room?

Sorry, no food or drinks in the rooms except water! We want to keep our hostels clean and comfy for everyone.
